The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Timothy Gunther can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolences

Condolence From: Rose Marie Proctor
Condolence: I offer many prayers of thankfulness for all Firefighter Gunther did for all of us each time he claimed into that truck. One not to very long ago Mr. Gunther was kind enough to take a few minutes with my 9 year old granddaughter - who very much want to be a firefighter. He showed her the truck, gave her a badge; and told her to never lose sight of her dream. I know that you - his family and his larger community family are already of what a difference he made in his dash from birth to death - but there is one little girl who will always hear his words of 'never lose sight of your dream'. Thanks for sharing him with the community at large; and know he will always be only a thought and a prayer away. Remain Blessed...

After reading about your husband I saw that his birthday is the same day as my June 22. I know there are no words to comfort you and the children, always remember the love, happiness and joy he brought to you all. Take one day at a time is all you can do now and lean on your family and friend for support. Again sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Tim, although we never met, I feel that I know you and your family because I work for Christine. Whenever we have spoken of you, the children -- now adults -- or the dogs, I could sense how proud she is of you and all that the two of you have accomplished.Reading through what your friends and co-workers have written has confirmed my thoughts and makes me wish we had known each other.
Rest in peace and keep on protecting your family, friends and strangers.

Christine,Tess and Casey,
Words fail me at this time in truly expressing how deeply sorry I am for the loss of your husband/father so early in your lives. From what I’ve read about Tim over the past few days is such a glowing testament of the wonderful person he was. I am sorry I never got a chance to meet him......I can tell you that the entire team has really felt this loss personally. It has taken the wind out of our sails throughout the week wishing there was some way we could help make this better. I truly hope the support of your friends and family will help comfort and strengthen you through the years to come. God bless you all and may Tim always watch over and guide you.

Condolence: I only knew Tim through friends and as a classmate. I want to extend my deep sympathy and compassion to his family and to his good friends. I remember how close all his friends were. He wrote of his colleague "He is watching over us". May Tim's words be some small measure of comfort to you now in your grief.

Condolence: I was one of Tim's room mates in college for 3 years, and he was one of the kindest, most sincere people I have ever met. He was unique: he had the Strength of a Giant, the Heart of a Hero, and the Soul of a Poet.
He will be deeply missed.
