Muriel McCulloch Obituary - Hopewell Junction, New York

Muriel McCulloch, 97, died peacefully on January 13, 2018.

Muriel was born in the Bronx on December 4, 1920, the daughter of Harold and Katherine Gallagher. She married Kenneth McCulloch on September 19, 1942 and he predeceased her on August 21, 1987. She came up to Dutchess County in 1957 and was a Real Estate Broker until 1995.

Muriel enjoyed dancing and playing bridge. She was the last surviving founding member of the Leisure Time Dancers, and she belonged to the Union Vale Seniors. She loved being with her family and friends.

Muriel is survived by her beloved companion, Edward Sedatchow; her five children and their spouses, Kenneth and Carmen McCulloch of Manhattan, Kevin and Penny McCulloch of Ramsey, NJ, Bruce McCulloch of New Rochelle, Kathryn McCulloch of New Rochelle, and Brian and Suzanne McCulloch of Hindsdale, IL; her 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Calling hours will be on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
