On June 14, 1953, he married Grace Mastropolo at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in the Bronx. Grace survives at home in Fishkill.
Additional survivors include his daughter, Marie Obee of Poughkeepsie; his son, Ralph Ruggiero & his wife Doreen of Wappingers Falls; his daughter, Valerie Ruggiero of Fishkill; his grandchildren, Grace, Duncan, Loretta, and John Obee; and many other relatives & friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by several siblings, Joseph Ruggiero, Lena Ruggiero Osie, Anthony Ruggiero, Josie Ruggiero Schettino, Frank Ruggiero, and Paul Ruggiero; and his son-in-law, Duncan Obee.
