Obituary for Eric Gavin Volpe

EAST FISHKILL - Eric Gavin “Woody” Volpe, 48, formerly of Schenectady and Cohoes, died on April 4, 2018.

Born in White Plains on July 1, 1969, he was the son of Karen (Turner) Dauner and the late Eric Douglas Volpe. Eric had been a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers with Local #5, Zone 197, Albany since 2006. He obtained his Certified Welding Inspector’s (CWI) Certification from the Hobart Institute of Welding.
He was an avid fisherman and gamer especially when his partners included a grandson, or two, or three…

Eric is survived by his mother, Karen Dauner and her husband Eugene; his wife, Elizabeth Volpe; his children, Jared Kushnick and Mandilee Snyder; his grandchildren, Cody, Jakob, John, Jesse, Caiden, Raelynn, Zachary, Brian, Eric and Juliet; his siblings, Adrienne Volpe and Jocelyn Lessard, Jason Volpe and his wife Marianne, Amber Schoonmaker and her husband Michael, and Rachel Volpe and Brian Krupczyn; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with a service at 5pm.
