Josephine D'Auria
FISHKILL – Josephine D’Auria, 91, an area resident for three years coming from Brooklyn, died peacefully on August 30, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn on May 27, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Felicito and Jennie Giannone. As a young woman, Josephine was a typist at MetLife. She was also a member of St. Athanasius Church in Brooklyn. Her favorite hobbies were collecting recipes, knitting and crocheting. She also loved to spend time with her many friends.
On April 26, 1952, Josephine married John D’Auria at St. Catherine of Alexandria. John predeceased her in 2004. She is survived by her children, Joanne and Vincent Campione, Johnette and John Berlingieri and Joy-Linda and Joseph Messina; her five grandchildren: Sean Campione, Anthony and Carolyn Campione, Elissa-Joy Messina, Kristopher Berlingieri and Kristina Messina. She is also survived by her great-granddaughter Lilly Campione; as well as her brothers, Alfred and Anthony Felicito.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 4th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, September 5th at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 103 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Entombment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge, New Jersey.
