Obituary for Genevieve Malloy

Genevieve Malloy (nee Schulte), 91, a long-time resident of Fishkill, passed away on October 17, 2018.

Born on April 4, 1927 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Raymond and Margaret (Ryan) Schulte.

Genevieve worked and retired from Union Carbide in Danbury, CT. An avid tennis player, she played well into her 80’s. She enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey Shore and traveling by Amtrak. Genevieve was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill for 60 years where she was part of the Marion Guild. She also volunteered her time with Birthright of Dutchess County.

Genevieve is survived by her children: Diane (Dennis) Roberts, Kathleen (Chip) Brownell, Patricia Malloy (Mark Barry), Judy Cahill and Michael (Cathy) Malloy; her grandchildren: Joshua, Christen, Sarah, Timothy, Benjamin, Michael James, Garrett, Caitlin and Lar; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother Peter Schulte; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her former husband John Malloy; her siblings Bernice Schulte and Donald Schulte; and son-in-law John Cahill.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday October 21, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at St. Mary’s Church in Fishkill at 10:15am. Interment to follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
