Alessandro Santoro
Alessandro Santoro, 71, an area resident since 1975 and previously of Tuckahoe, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born on February 26, 1944 in Pescara, Italy, he was the son of Guiseppe and Miracolina (Della Penna) Santoro. He was the owner and operator of Tuckahoe Florist, Crystal Home Cleaners and ACS Painting..
Alessandro was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction, and a member of the Italian American Club.
On October 25, 1964 at Assumption Church in Tuckahoe, Alessandro married Carolyn DeCintio who survives at home.
In addition to his wife, Alessandro is survived by his sons, Alexander Santoro of Tuckahoe and William Santoro of Fort Myers, FL; his grandchildren, Philip, Jr., Alexander, Summer Brook, Nicholas and Felisha; his siblings, Carmine Santoro and John Santoro; many brothers and sisters in laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his son Philip A. Santoro, Sr. and his brother Steve Santoro.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by internment at St. Denis Cemetery.
