Condolence: Mr. Yoell was my Biology teacher at Lakeland High School. I absolutely loved his teaching style. He was so calm and laid back. I just loved his class.I remember having a advanced bio class with him as well. We mated fruit flies and learned all about genetics. Graduated in 1976 and went on to college to study Nursing. My bio background form Mr. Yoell sure helped with many science classes that were required for my degree. Have many fond memories of him. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: Mr. Yoells bio class was always an adventure! Certainly a unique character, always coming up with something new. Yoell, you still often come up in conversation in the neighborhood... 20+ years later! A legend, definitely! RIP Mr Yoell

Condolence: I had Mr. Yoell for biology at Lakeland High School. At first I was a little scared of him. He was gruff and didn't have a good inside voice. But He grew on you! He was very funny. I will never forget him saying....don't eat the orange ones....they make ya pregnant! I will miss you Mr Yoell!

Condolence: Chris had been teaching at Lakeland for 5 years when I started there and I knew him as a colleague and friend for the remainder of his career. Gruff and very funny, he loved his students and personally "powered" many through the Regents exams.
I will never forget how his students threw him a surprise birthday party, decorating his classroom before he arrived one morning. The "tough guy" was genuinely touched by it.
We will all miss you, Chris.

Condolence: I had Mr. Yoell for biology in 1980. He was a kind man with a wicked sense of humor. He was a good and caring teacher and I remember him very fondly. RIP.
