Obituary for Robert S. Just

GLENHAM – Robert S. Just, 77, an area resident for 20 years, died on April 10, 2018 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. He previously lived in Cortlandt Manor and Brooklyn.

Born in Manhattan on March 11, 1941, Robert was the son of the late Stanley and Anna (Wojtyna) Just. He was an Officer at Fiduciary trust in Manhattan until his retirement in 1976. He then went on to be proprietor of Circle Food Stop at the Annsville Circle in Peekskill until 1996.

On September 30, 1962 at St. Antanasius Church in Brooklyn, Robert married Rose (DiGeronimo) Just who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Donna Turer and her husband Steve of Beacon, Denise Ferguson and her companion Jimmie Smith of Beacon, and Steven Just and his wife Christina of Glenham; his grandchildren, Jason and Joseph Turer, Robert and Tyler Ferguson, and Cameron, Grace, and Hunter Just; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Fran and Charlie Terzino and Ralph and Anna DiGeronimo; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was also predeceased by his sister, Eileen Pelch, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frannie and Ralph DiGeronimo; his son-in-law, Stan Ferguson; and his brothers-in-law, Michael DiGeronimo and Richard Franklin.

Robert was an avid hunter who also enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was a longtime member of the Highland Country Club in Garrison. Most of all, his greatest passion was spending time with his grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 am at the funeral home.
