Isabel Sim, 86, passed away on April 13, 2018 at Bethel Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Croton, NY with her family by her side. A resident of Fishkill since 2006, she had previously lived in Peekskill, NY for 45 years.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Georgina (Noble) Pollock. Isabel enjoyed working with the elderly and was a nursing assistant for many years in the Peekskill area.

Isabel was pre-deceased by her husband of 44 years, James Crawford Sim, in 1998. She is survived by her children, Robert Sim and his wife, Kim, of Yorktown Heights, NY; Frank Sim and his wife, Loren, of Allentown, PA; Joanne Klarl and her husband, John, of Fishkill, NY; and Patricia LaRosa of New Windsor, NY. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Isabel was kind and possessed a quiet, Irish charm. She enjoyed puzzles, gardening, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who brought her tremendous joy.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 pm, and a funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 10 am at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, 1089 Main Street, Fishkill.
