David G. Halbert, 80, a resident of Lagrangeville for 47 years and previously of the Bronx, died on Friday, June 29, 2018 at home.

Born on March 5, 1938 in Middletown, OH, David was the son of Howard and Ella May (Wheeler) Halbert.

David proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1956-1959. He was the owner of Advanced Fuel in Poughkeepsie and a parishioner of St. Denis Church.

On May 22, 1960 in the Bronx, David married the love of his life, Virginia Reitano who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, David and his wife Priscilla of LaGrange, Daniel and his wife Lori of Highland, Debra Mason and her husband Hugh of Georgetown, TX, Deannine Henderson and her husband Keith of LaGrange, Cora Buckley and her husband Matt of Highland; his 11 grandchildren; his 4 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Jeannine Higgins and her husband Tom of Oregon, Joann Gall of Ohio; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Reitano of the Bronx and Elvira Reitano of Florida.

Funeral services will be private.
