Obituary for Sadé Rosa "Sha" King-Marshall

Sadé Rosa King-Marshall, “Sha”, passed peacefully surrounded by the love of family on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. She was 22.
Sadé was born in Newburgh on September 6, 1995. She graduated from F.D.R. High School in Hyde Park in 2014 and later attended Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie.
Sadé was a beautiful, selfless, courageous young woman who lived her life enjoying each day with a carefree state of mind. Sadé will be remembered by many who loved her for her sweet smile and generous charisma.
Her amazing perseverance and will to not be sad will be an example to all of us. Sadé will always be beloved to her mother and family.
She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Joy Marshall and Jalal McMahon; her father, Thurston King; her grandparents, Peggy Marshall, Hasan McMahon, and Sharon & Darnell King; her siblings, Ameena McMahon, Dhakirah McMahon, Layyinah McMahon, Yasmin McMahon, Saalih McMahon, Jaden King, and Tes King; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving relatives & friends.
Sadé was predeceased by her grandfather, George Marshall.
May Allah have mercy on her and grant her Jannah.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 31 at Masjid Ar-Rashid, 352 Main Street, Beacon. Burial will follow at the Mid-Hudson Islamic Cemetery in New Windsor.
