Obituary for Grace C. "Dolly" Geremino (Perrotta)

FISHKILL – Grace C. “Dolly” Geremino, 80, formerly of West Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully on September 20, 2018 at Putnam Hospital Center surrounded by her family.

Born in the Bronx on November 13, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Catherine (DellaCave) Perrotta. On May 26, 1957, Dolly married Michael J. Geremino, Sr. who predeceased her in 2015 after 58 years of marriage. She retired as a Human Resources Specialist from Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.

She was a beloved wife, mother, “Maema”, and great-grandmother. She showered her nine grandchildren and great-granddaughter with much love and affection, and was cherished by all. Her joyful presence and love will be missed by her entire family and all who knew her. She is survived by her children, and their families: her daughter, Darlene Sheeran and her husband Christopher, and their children Stephanie and her wife Liz, Katherine and her husband Adam and their daughter Eleanor (great-granddaughter), and Christopher; her son, Nicholas Geremino and his wife Linda; her son, Michael J. Geremino, Jr., and his wife Camille and their children, Michael, Rachel and Marc; and her daughter, Catherine D'Avanzo and her husband John and their children, Alyssa, Jessica, and John. She is also survived by her sister, Phyllis O’Hare, her husband Tom, and their children.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc, 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx. A luncheon reception will follow.
