FISHKILL - Barbara M. Meyer, 70, a Dutchess County resident since 1999 and formerly of the Bronx, died on September 24, 2018 at her daughter’s home.

Born in the Bronx on June 28, 1948, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Meara) Pilecki. She grew up in the Country Club in the Bronx.

Barbara attended Mass at St. Columba Church and St. Mary’s Church. She enjoyed participating in water sports, especially volleyball, at All Sport, Facebooking, playing Bingo, and watching NCIS, MASH and Golden Girls. She enjoyed opening her home to the neighborhood children, and taking them to amusement parks, movies, and many fun places. Above all, she loved spending time with her granddaughter, shopping and getting their nails done.

On June 2, 1968 at St. Helen’s Church in the Bronx, Barbara married Lawrence Charles Meyer who predeceased her on November 21, 2015. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Patrick Frawley; her granddaughter, Caitlin Frawley; and her cousins, Jane Meara, Helen and Sal Termini, and Susan Meara.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
