Condolence: My condolences to the family. I as a few others knew Mark from St. Bernard E.S..He had ties to everyone in class. He was well liked and got along with everyone. The last time I saw Mark was at a Giants Game. Fate had it that we were only a few rows apart. Go figure. Take care and we'll be together soon.

Condolence: Mark was truly a good man. Smart, kind, funny and devoted to family. The last time I saw him was with my brother Bill at 5:00 am about to start a 25 mile bike ride over the Tappan Zee Bridge. It was a fundraiser and Mark was doing it with his brother David. Mark twinkled in the happy way and my gut always told me he was loaded with character and soul. What a loss.

Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear the new of Mark's passing. He was one year behind me at St Bernard's in White Plains but it was such a small school that we all knew each other well. I remember cheering for him when was on the basketball team - he wasn't tall but he snuck in there and made a difference. We recently reconnecting a few years ago when we had a multi-year SBS reunion - he wasn't able to attend but it was great to catch up. My youngest son knew him from PVHS and felt as I did - he was a great guy and I know he will be missed terribly. Godspeed Mark - keep and eye on the rest of us down here... we need it! <3

Condolence: I don’t know that any words can do justice to encompass what I’m feeling, but I at least want to share how Mark touched our lives. As my colleague, I appreciate that Mark always had a smile for me. His positivity and strong work ethic was contagious. As a parent, I appreciate that Mark always stopped to talk to me about my son, every time I saw him. He was genuinely excited to tell me something special my son did or said. It always made my day. I knew that he was a part of my village, however cliche it sounds, and I was grateful he was part of the Putnam Valley family. It gave me such comfort to know my son always knew Mr. Trabs was there to help him or just make him smile. After thinking about this a lot since I heard the sad news, I have come to realize that the bottom line is Mark made people feel good. That’s really special. The world needs more people like Mark. We will miss him immensely.

Condolence: We here at AMIC Supportive Families knew Mark mostly in his role as brother to David. Mark was wonderfully supportive and involved in every aspect of David’s life. In our community residences our goal is to support developmentally disabled individuals in living their best life possible, to join with the individual’s family in a circle of support. Mark made that easy. He was so involved in David’s life taking him out to eat, to church, to every family gathering. Mark always included all of David’s friends in every way possible. I think their favorite times were when Mark would just pick up some food and go over to David’s apartment and spend the afternoon “hanging out with the guys” and watching sports. ---------- Mark, you were an amazing person. Your love for David and everyone around him has impacted us all. Thank you. It was a pleasure to know you.

Condolence: Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Mark and I grew up together at St. Bernard's School in White Plains, and played football, baseball and basketball together a thousand times over those years. We grew apart in the years that followed but it was always great to see him whenever fate brought us back together, and we always enjoyed a few laughs. Rest in peace, Mark. You were always one of the good ones.

Condolence: Mark was a great guy! I'm sure he will be sadly missed by all who know him. Its amazing we are getting up in years where the end is really in sight. 59 is still too young. I went to St Bernard's with Mark, and we went from bitter enemies to best of friends, all because of a game , baseball! Mark was a die hard Yankees fan when the Yankee were terrible, and I can remember him telling me how great Horace "Hoss" Clark, the only Yankee who was any good was, and Hoss never got his plaque in Monument Park, but It made Mark happy. We could not wait for the next edition of Baseball Digest, we were big Manny Sanguillen fans, and we kept our transistor radios tuned to baseball. Mark could play the game too. Good as he was though, I struck him out once in the only inning I got to pitch that game since I had the mumps, when we were12 and he played for Scarsdale Van Lines, and I played for the Medics. Three pitches, and we were as good a friends after the strike out as we were before! May God console you on your loss. He was a good man. I'm sure he's in extra innings in the big diamond in the sky!
