Obituary for Lily Tippel (Morena)

Lily Tippel, 98, of Putnam County, died on October 22, 2018 at the Hudson Valley Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Manhattan on November 24, 1919, she was one of six children of Pietro and Teresa (DeBrizzi) Morena. She was a parishioner of St. Lawrence O'Toole Church in Brewster. She enjoyed dancing and music when she was younger. She also enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Lily was predeceased by her husband Joseph Tippel. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Doreen and Edward Tuttle of Athens, and Linda and Richard Sprance of Poughquag; her grandchildren, Edward Tuttle, Christopher Tuttle, Aimee Tuttle, Alicia Tuttle Crouch, Jonathan Tuttle, Jillian Sprance, Virginia Sprance, Emily Sprance Hutter and Daniel Sprance; and her great-grandchildren, Edward IV, Gavin and Cameron Tuttle, Kylie and Carson Crouch, Elisabeth and Nicolette Hutter.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Lawrence O'Toole Cemetery in Brewster.
