Obituary for
Robert A. Rosa
Robert Rosa, 60, a resident of Hopewell Junction, passed into paradise on Wednesday, November 28th.
Robbie will lovingly be remembered by his wife Carol, and his children Ricky and April as well as his mother Rachel, brother Michael Rosa and sisters Diana Stanton, Jane Rosa and JoAnn Ludwig. He will be forever remembered by his nieces, nephews, dear friends and extended family as well.
Robert was born on June 26, 1958 in the Bronx, the son of Anthony and Rachel Rosa. He grew up in Yorktown Heights, NY with his parents and four siblings. He was a Yorktown High School graduate and received his specialized training for HVAC at various trade schools in the area.
Growing up Robbie lived next door to the girl whom he would eventually marry. They all enjoyed a fantastic close-knit upbringing in the Sparkle Lake area. He married Carol (Sclafani) Rosa on May 9, 1987.
As a Master HVAC Mechanic Robert had an innate ability to diagnose and remedy any mechanical problem that was presented to him. Ricky, his son, will warm-heartedly remember his dad as the ‘Car Whisperer’. Robert also had a gift for art and created many beautiful paintings that will continue to be enjoyed by many. His talent and love for art have inspired his children, and others, to express their hearts and souls through various art mediums.
Although disabled, Robert selflessly donated his time as a volunteer at the No Strings Attached Food Pantry of the Hopewell Vineyard Community Church for over 10 years. During that time he lent a hand by helping feed countless families in the Hudson Valley. Robbie’s giving heart and hands have touched many lives.
A celebration of his life and memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8th at Vineyard Community Church, 609 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Visitation time with the family will begin at 1:00 with the Service and fellowship time to follow, ending at 4:00 pm.
