Please accept my condolences. It's hard losing a loved one to death. Although it seems to be the final state, God's word offers hope of seeing them again during the promised resurrection Jesus spoke of at John 6:40. He stated, "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life and I will resurrect him on the last day.'' You can be reunited with Janet at a time when all things will be made new and death will no longer rule. Revelation 21:5
