Obituary for Renee J. Visconti
FISHKILL – Renee J. Visconti, 76, a resident of Dutchess County since 1970 and formerly of the Bronx, died on January 7, 2019 at MidHudson Regional Hospital.
Born in the Bronx on March 31, 1942, she was the daughter of Victor and Helen (Moccia) Marcolina. Renee had been employed as a Bus Driver for the Wappingers Central School District for 10 years until her retirement in 1996.
She was a member of the Embroidery Guild of Hyde Park, and partook in all types of needlework. Renee loved taking trips to Atlantic City, where she played slot machines. She also enjoyed playing cards and board games with her family.
On February 3, 1962 in the Bronx, Renee married Louis J. Visconti who predeceased her on September 11, 1997.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Burch of Montgomery, Louis Visconti Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Stormville, and Michael Visconti of Montgomery; her grandchildren, Angela, Alison, Alyssa, Devin, Nicholas and Jay; her sisters, Helen Cipollaro and her husband Tony, Anita DePaola and her husband Ralph, and Mary Hoffman; her brothers-in-law, Joseph Visconti and his wife Fran, and Nicholas Visconti and his wife Peggy; and many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Renee was also predeceased by her son, Nicholas A. Visconti, in 2017; as well as her sister, Vicky Treptow.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 12 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. There will be a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
