Frederick W. Robinson, 75, an area resident since 1972, died on January 29, 2019 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in New York City on February 4, 1943, Fred proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He had been employed as an Operating Engineer with the International Operating Engineers Union in New York City.
Fred was a parishioner of St. Columba Church. He volunteered for many years with the Boy Scouts of America, and enjoyed coin collecting.
On April 12, 1969 at Our Lady of Angels Church in the Bronx, Fred married Marie (Carroll) Robinson who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Fred Robinson; his daughters and their husbands, Jeanne Marie Robinson and Jeff Harrod, Patrice and Walter Hatch, and Laura and Daniel Conniff; his granddaughters, Molly, Jamie and Rylee Hatch, and Ashlyn Conniff; his siblings, Barbara Kerpen, Dennis Robinson, Rosemarie McCaffery, and Marty Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his mother, Rose (Creamer) Robinson in 1989; and his brother, John Robinson in 1986.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
