Obituary for Mary G. Boruch (Passero)

FISHKILL – Mary G. Boruch, a resident of Fishkill and formerly of Brooklyn, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. She was 83.
Daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Cicero) Passero, she was born in New York City on April 12, 1935. Mary was a proud American of Sicilian heritage.
For many years, Mary worked in the executive reception department at Congress Talcott Financial in Manhattan. She was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church, in Fishkill.
She will be remembered for her unparalleled cooking ability and impeccable eye for style and fashion. More than anything else, Mary loved spending time with her family.
In 1956, she married Stephen G. Boruch, who predeceased her in 1998.
Mary is survived by her sons, Michael Boruch & his wife Xiu of Fishkill and Stephen Boruch of Port Townsend, WA; her grandsons, Anthony, Thomas, and Leo Boruch; her brothers, Anthony Passero, Joseph Passero, Nicholas Passero, Richard Passero, Philip Passero, and Vito Passero; her goddaughter, Annette Taibbi & her husband Robert; and many nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by her infant daughter Suzanne in 1960, as well as her sister, Emily Prestigiacomo.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
