Obituary for Patricia C. Spinella
Patricia C. Spinella, a Wappingers Falls resident, entered into rest Monday, February 11, 2019 at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie surrounded by her loving family. She was 77.
Daughter of the late George and Alice Quinlivan, she was born August 26, 1941 in Manhattan. As a child, she moved to Fair Lawn, NJ with her family. On May 5, 1962, she married the love of her life Joseph Spinella, who survives at home. They moved to Wappingers Falls, NY and have been Dutchess County residents for the past 47 years and parishioners of St. Columba Church.
She is also survived by her five children, Michael Spinella and his wife Sarah, Joseph Spinella Jr., George Spinella, Brian Spinella, and Patricia Luzar and her husband John; her grandchildren, Megan, Jack, Henry, Kayley, Emily, and Jacqueline; and her nieces and nephews Nick, Anthony, Kelly, and Colleen. Her sisters Mary Schmidt and Carol Napier predeceased her.
Pat enjoyed being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and having her family around her. She enjoyed having Sunday family dinners, big holidays celebrations especially Thanksgiving, and spending family vacations at the Jersey Shore. She loved spending time and supporting her grandchildren by spending countless hours at pageants, concerts, dance recitals, plays, and at sporting events.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
