To the family of Richard “Dick” Engstrom, I am so sorry for your loss. I was so taken and saddened to read of his passing. Dick was a great co worker at Central Hudson, dedicated hard working gentleman. As we all toil through life, Family is always first, and truly Dick’s family drove his spirit each day. How fortunate each of his co workers were to enjoy such a great person in your husband and father to work with each of us during his decades at Central Hudson. We have fond memories of this fine human being, I pray he did not suffer, and is resting with his daughter at the table of our Lord. May you each know how respected your Dad is, now on our hearts and forever. I shall weep, but pray for his family as you grieve. With a sincere heart, I offer my heart felt sympathies. The years of our life are fleeting. Without intervention, we would all say goodbye to those we love, or they would say goodbye to us. Wonderfully, God has promised to intervene. “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3, 4) God will destroy death and remove the pain it has caused by restoring those who have died back to life. Yes, it will be like he wiped the tears from our eyes, when we are reunited with those we love. I am very sorry for your loss.
