Obituary for Mavila Alfonsina Mujica

On the night of March 17, 2019, Mavila Alfonsina Mujica Diaz met her loving parents, Alindor Mujica Alvarado and Otilia Diaz de Mujica at Heaven's Gates. She was also reunited with her siblings, Napoleon, Alfredo, Jorge, and Esperanza. Her children, Jorge A., Jose A., and Guillermo welcomed her arrival into the afterlife along with her granddaughter, Cecelia Villegas.

She was born in Peru and lived with her only daughter in New York. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spent her younger years as an athlete. The last few years of her life were spent affected by Alzheimer's Disease and dementia, but she was kept safe and cared for by the love and support of her family.

She is survived by her children: Silvia Marita Oblitas, Alberto Javier Oblitas, Pedro Alonso Oblitas, Percy David Oblitas, Jorge Alberto Villegas, and Julio Alindor Villegas; her grandchildren, Ivor, Ives and Yone Villa, Edder, Kelly, Dannay, Miyuki, Keith, Ralph, Percy Jr., Karen, Amy, Chris Oblitas, George, Barbara, Jessica, Karina, Omar, Martin, Patricia, Jorge Jr., Carlos, and Mavila Villegas; Mavila was blessed with several great-grandchildren in both Peru and America. She is also survived by her siblings: Angelica and Lizardo Mujica in Peru; her nieces and nephews, Carmen Rosa Salas Mujica, Napoleon and Jose Luis Mujica Bustamante, Rossemarie, David, Fabiola, Otilia, Alfredo Jr., Miguel, Milagros, Elizabeth, and Carla Mujica; She was loved deeply by her Goddaughter Julia Lozada Oblitas; her sister-in-law Dina Oblita; and by her nephew Cesar Vasquez Oblitas.

We will remember her sense of humor and cherish all the laughs we shared together. We will miss you, Ma, we love you forever.
