Obituary for Ina A. David
BEACON – Ina A. David, 94, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2019 at Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. She previously lived in Peekskill.
Born on St. Thomas, USVI on April 16, 1925, Ina was the daughter of the late Arthur and Maria (Hewitt) Scarbriel. In 1943, she married Ivan David who predeceased her in 2009. They moved from St. Thomas to New York in 1952.
Ina is survived by her children, Milton David and his wife BiBi of Beacon, Ivan David, Jr. of St. Thomas, USVI, Courtney Mahoney of Poughkeepsie, Danny David and his wife Stephanie of Pawling, Wilfred David of Pennsylvania, Cheryl Watkins of Wappingers Falls, and Dale David-Henry of Clover, SC; her grandchildren, Stephen, Monte, Natasha, Ruth Ann, Ivan III, Isaiah, Alexander, Gabriel, Rena, Natalia, Rita, Ina, Lorna, Kelvin Jr., Jacob, Leonard, Sonia, Jennifer, Laurena, Michael, Alexandria, David, Melinda, Aaron, Aitana, Joelle, Daquaine, Calvin, Liston Jr., and Anthony; numerous great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ina was also predeceased by her children, Joseph, Liston, Burton, Lorna, and Melinda; and her sons-in-law, Kelvin Mahoney, James Henry, and Michael Watkins.
Ina was an avid fan of the NY Yankees, and also enjoyed gardening and watching soap operas. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Calling hours will be held from 9:30-10:30 am on Saturday at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill.
