Elizabeth Petrides, 82, a resident of Fishkill since 2013 and formerly of Matlacha, FL, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 18, 2019.
She was bornin Larnaca, Cyprus on December 19, 1936, daughter of the late Athanasis and Margaret (Themistocleus) Christophorou. On August 30, 1953, she married Phoebus Petrides in Larnaca.
Elizabeth enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, and taking walks. Above all else, she was fully devoted to her family.
She is survived by her husband Phoebus at home in Fishkill. Additional survivors include her daughter, Joanna Mascolo & her husband Frank of Wappingers Falls; her granddaughter, Lauren Mascolo of Fishkill; many siblings in Cyprus; as well as many other relatives & friends.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her son, Athanasis Petrides, and her grandson, Frank T. Mascolo.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
