To Ray's family and his friends: My heart ACHES with the knowledge of his passing. I've known and worked with Ray for many years on various projects at IBM facilities throughout the region. I consider him not only a quality man..but a friend. He is a gem and the world was a much better place with him in it.

Our conversations weren't always about work...we would talk about family and the weightier matters of life. His upbringing and mine had a number of parallels and so we connected on many things. I know how much he loved his family... he told me so many times.

He is missed!!

IBM Research is a very special building with many unique fixtures. I thought of Ray as one of them. He put his heart and soul into this building. His smile, his positive attitude, his knowledge, his grace were very much a part of this place. When he retired, I thought well he deserves a rest... He's been here so long... Now I think, his time was really too short. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and community. He will be forever missed. Loredana

I was shocked to have learned the other day of Ray's passing. To some he will be remembered as a...Son, Brother, Uncle, Godfather, Husband, Father, and PopPop. To me, he always was, and will always be regarded as a very dear friend. He touched the lives of many, and in particular my own and my family's, all in such a close, beautiful, and memorable way. For all of us who mourn Ray's passing with tears, and celebrate his life with laughter, the days and times we all spent together will continue to be relived through our memories and dreams...just as if they were yesterday. Since learning of Ray's suffering and death, my mind has been filled with a continual recollection of all the times we spent together, sharing in each other's company. For the past few days, I've been experiencing what seems like a continual movie reel...of all the times gone by. It is those memories that I will deposit in my dreams, welcoming them back often, for they will continue to console me forever. Although many of these times together were not recent, I've never forgotten a one, nor thought of you all as anything other than dear friends. In my absence today, may my hugs and kisses bleed through from others, and may I offer my sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to Dee Dee, Raymond, Elyse, Russell, Roger, and the entire Azzaro & Wahl families and Friends. May God continue to bless and always, with the strength, peace and faith to carry you all through life's new journey. I always loved you Ray Azzaro...and I will dearly miss you my friend! All my love, Ray

It is with great sadness that we learned of Ray's death. He was a really good person ,hard working family loving man very proud of his Italian heritage & always ready to help anyone . I had the pleasure of working with Ray & Diane when they started their business & our time together was as much fun as it was work. I'll always remember those days with fond memories. Rest in Peace'
