Obituary

Audrey May Brill, a lifelong Beacon resident , passed away at her daughters home, on July 5, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Poughkeepsie on March 24, 1936, she was the daughter of the late George and Ella (Shwella) Dennis. She was predeceased by her parents and brother Charles Dennis. Audrey is survived by her daughter Dawn Brill and granddaughter Ella Brill.

Audrey was employed by IBM in East Fishkill for over 30 years. She will be remembered as a talented artist, who continued painting until her most recent illness. She was also a member of the Hudson Valley Tole and Decorative Painters. Audrey was a long time member of Christ United Methodist Church in Beacon, volunteering and supporting the church and community.

Audrey loved all animals, especially her Basset Hound Casey, and Dawn’s Schnauzer, Sky. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding her horse Rosey.
Audrey especially loved being with her granddaughter, Ella. She always had time to attend her dance classes and events to show her love, support and great pride in all things Ella did and accomplished.

Her last wish was to be at home. She stayed with her daughter Dawn, as her caregiver and granddaughter Ella and their dogs by her side.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.

Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. To send the family an online condolence, please visit her Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
