Obituary for Douglas G. Wilson

Douglas G. Wilson, a resident of East Fishkill since 2005 and formerly of Yorktown Heights and Croton-on-Hudson, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. He was 75.
Son of the late James Stewart Wilson and Julia Dean (Mayo) Wilson, he was born in Norfolk, VA on February 16, 1944. In 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country during the Vietnam War era. He was the owner of Briarcliff Auto Coach and Delta Radiator in Briarcliff Manor.
Doug had many hobbies, including boating, muscle cars, horse racing, and ice hockey. A parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, he was also a member of various car clubs and yacht organizations.
On August 3, 1969, he married Linda J. Sangemino in the Bronx. Linda survives at home in Hopewell Junction.
Additional survivors include his daughter, Christen Wilson of Hopewell Junction; his daughter, Chrissy Alvez & her husband Nelson of Hopewell Junction; his daughter, Liane Wilson of Hawaii; his grandchildren: Nelzon Alvez, Jr., Bianca Wilson, and Chase Wilson; his sister, Sally Rondthaler of Dayton, OH; many nieces and nephews: Kim & Dean Gentile, Eric Hall, Tim Rondthaler, Liam Farnell, Faruk Hurer & his wife Elena, and Kimi Hurer; his cousin, Frank Damelio; and many other loving relatives & friends.
He was predeceased by his father, James Stewart Wilson, in 1974; his mother, Julia Dean Mayo, in 2002; and his godfather, Craig Wilson, in 2003.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Entombment will follow in the Community Mausoleum at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill.
