Obituary for Bruce Ernest Galotto
HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Bruce Ernest Galotto, 71, an area resident for 47 years, died on August 31, 2019 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital.
Born in the Bronx on July 29, 1948, he was the son of Aaron and Ruby (Orlando) Galotto. Bruce had worked as a cosmetologist and as Vice President for Color Mid Atlantic in Edison, NJ. In his retirement, he founded Competitive Clays, a mentoring and coaching business where he imparted his passion for the game to many others. He enjoyed competitive clay shooting and achieved many honors in that sport. He was an active member of the Ad Sports and CTSCA sporting clays clubs. Bruce also enjoyed fly tying and fly fishing.
Bruce is survived by his wife Donna (Strickland) Galotto; his daughter Ruth Galotto Sullivan and her husband Stephen; his grandson Jason Galotto Sullivan; and many other family members and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2-4pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Memorial donations may be made to the Redl Cancer Center at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital.
