Obituary for Eufemia B "Penny ~ Nang Pening" Macabinlar

WAPPINGERS FALLS – Eufemia “Penny ~ Nang Pening” Macabinlar, a resident of Wappingers Falls, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at New York Presbyterian Medical Center in Manhattan. She was 73.

Daughter of the late Juan and Carmen Barsobia Macabinlar, she was born in the Philippines on September 16, 1945. In 1998, she moved to the United States to live with her family. She attended St. Mary, Our Lady of the Falls Church in Wappingers Falls and participated with the senior center programs in both Poughkeepsie and Beacon. She worked at the McClelland Home for Adults for seven years and enjoyed many hobbies such as gardening, singing & dancing, and playing bingo.

Eufemia is survived by her daughter, Joceyln Willard & her husband John of Wappingers Falls; her daughter, Meriam Anggot & her husband Noel of the Philippines; her grandchildren: Joseph Willard & his wife Heather, Christopher Willard & his fiancé Kellie Gorman, Noel Kristofferson Anggot, Ivyne Clowie Anggot, and Vogie Anggot; her great-grandsons, Reese and Lucas Willard; her sister, Pacita Lacre; and her brother, Leonardo Macabinlar; and many other loving relatives & friends.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 8 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 9 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. A committal service followed by interment will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10 at Wappingers Falls Rural Cemetery, 190 West Main Street, Wappingers Falls.
