Obituary for Anthony Michael Colon

BRONX – Anthony Michael Colon, 56, died on November 8, 2019 at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. He was born in New York City on January 30, 1963.

Anthony is survived by his daughter, Toni Colon of San Diego, CA; his mother, MaryAnn (Bachynsky) Vanzo of Brooklyn; his siblings, Fred Colon and his wife Toni Ann of LaGrangeville; Robin Sullivan and her husband Tom of Mahopac; Frank Vanzo of Brooklyn, Terri Vanzo of Brooklyn, Fred Colon of California; and Andrew Colon of California; and many aunts, uncles, cousins , nieces, nephews, and many friends. Anthony was predeceased by his father, Freddie Colon; his stepfather, Frank Vanzo; his grandmothers, Mary Tolstick, Tessie Vanzo, and Justa Colon; and his grandfather, Cecilio Colon.

Anthony will be remembered by all as being the life of the party, his great sense of humor, and especially his laugh. He enjoyed listening to music, and his favorite songs were “The Way We Were” by Barbara Streisand and “I Wanna Go Home” by Michael Buble. Anthony loved walking the streets of New York City, from Chinatown to Central Park, where you would always find him on a sunny day. Most of all, he loved his family and traveled throughout the country to make sure he spent time with each of them. He will be greatly missed.
