Obituary for Louis Paul Guzzo, Jr.
Louis Paul Guzzo, Jr., a Fishkill resident since 1973 and formerly of Yonkers, passed away at home on Thursday, March 26, 2020. He was 75.
Son of the late Louis P. and Connie (Balascio) Guzzo, he was born in Yonkers on August 31, 1944. After graduating from high school, Louis enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard a refueling ship, the USS Caloosahatchee, for many years.
He was a longtime member of the Local 137 Operating Engineers and worked as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 1992.
On December 14, 1968, Louis married Linda S. Grindley in Yonkers. Linda predeceased him on May 25, 2016.
Survivors include his son, James Guzzo of Fishkill; his daughter, Elissa Guzzo & her husband Jason Kanterman of Milford, PA; his grandchildren, Charlotte Guzzo, Josh Kanterman, and Adam Kanterman; his sister, Janet Guzzo Marron & her husband Thomas of Mattituck; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Louis was also predeceased by his brother, Dennis P. Guzzo.
