Obituary for Adeline Angelina Cascio

BEACON – Adeline A.Cascio, a Beacon resident since 2006, formerly of Virginia Beach, Mahopac, Ossining, and North Tarrytown, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. She let go peacefully with all of her children by her side. She was 88.
Daughter of the late Alfonso and Theresa (Napolitano) Passariello, she was born in North Tarrytown on December 6, 1931. She worked as a proofreader for the New York Daily News and later worked as a teacher aide for Tarrytown Public Schools for many years up until her retirement.
Adeline was a former parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church (North Tarrytown), St. John the Evangelist Church (Mahopac), and St. Ann’s Church (Ossining). She volunteered as a softball coach for North Tarrytown Recreation and served as a Cub Scout Den Leader. Adeline loved sports and was an avid New York Giants fan and enjoyed watching U.F.C. events as well. She was always fond of her pets, and especially loved her dogs Snoopy and Shadow.
On May 17, 1953, she married Joseph P. Cascio, Sr. at Immaculate Conception Church in North Tarrytown. Adeline was predeceased by her husband on March 11, 2016.
Survivors include her children: Russell J. Cascio of Wappingers Falls, Philomena Kyle & husband Brian of Sleepy Hollow, Joseph P. Cascio, Jr. & wife Judy of Beacon, Peter J. Cascio & wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach, and Theresa Brown of Tarrytown; her grandchildren: Christopher R. Cascio, Tara Cappelli, Stephanie Cappelli, Siobhan Kyle, Dylan Kyle, Brookelynn Kyle, Devin Smith, Addie Cascio, Katie Cascio, Holly Lynn Young & husband Phillip, Eddie Bennett & wife Sarah, Lisa Pinzel & husband Joey, James Brown, Jr., and Allison Brown; her great-grandchildren: Warren, Jessica, Noelle, Alexandria, Kayla, Karleigh, Andrew, Mason, Abigail, and Isabella; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Adeline was also predeceased by her siblings: Alfonso Passariello, Jr., Mary Dandreano, Filomena Tanzillo, Theresa Ippolito, and Salvatore Passariello; as well as her daughter-in-law, Deborah Cascio; and son-in-law, James Brown.
Visitation will be held from 9 am to 10 am on Thursday, July 23 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will take place at 10 am, followed by interment at Wappingers Falls Rural Cemetery. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required and capacity may be limited. All attendees should be prepared for potential extended waiting periods.
