Obituary for Florence H. Parslow (Heffernan)
Florence H. Parslow, a lifelong local area resident, passed away at the Eleanor Nursing Care Center in Hyde Park on Sunday, July 27, 2020. She was 94.
Daughter of the late Edward and Catherine (Laffin) Heffernan, she was born in Poughkeepsie on October 29, 1925.
On June 21, 1947, she married Joseph Parslow, Jr. at St. Mary’s Church in Poughkeepsie. Florence was predeceased by her husband on January 28, 1993.
Survivors include two daughters: Carol Ann Moore & her husband Martin of Arden, NC and Deborah Burns of Medford, NY; her granddaughter, Georgette Becker & her husband Thomas of Huntington, NY; as well as many nieces, nephews, and many other loving relatives & friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Florence was also predeceased by her grandson, Brian Woodin; as well as her five brothers: Richard, Edward, Robert, Charles, and Eugene Heffernan; and her infant sister, Theodora Heffernan.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29 at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill.
