POUGHKEEPSIE – Roger E. Peterson, 68, an area resident since 1990 and formerly of Yonkers, died on September 9, 2020 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Yonkers on November 8, 1951, he was the son of Fred and Gloria (Farentino) Peterson.
Roger is a part owner of Peterson Rental in Yonkers. He loved spending time with his two grandsons, his two dogs, loved fishing, boating and flying drones.
He is survived by his son, Roger Peterson and his wife Maria Chori of Thornwood, NY; his daughter, Nicole Thompson of New Fairfield, CT; his grandsons, Max Peterson and Leo Peterson; his loving former wives, Dorena Fugaro and Cheryl Peterson; his beloved dogs, Jasper and Trinity; his siblings and their spouses, John and Judy Peterson, Carl and Gail Peterson, Joan and Scott Kling, Ann Marie and Richard Spinella, Elaine and Leif Boro; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In consideration for the health and safety of his loved ones due to the on going health crisis, calling hours will not be held. In accordance with his wishes, Roger will be cremated and his ashes will be spread over the Long Island Sound where he spent so much time boating and fishing with his family and friends.
