Lorraine Knauer – Place, 67, of Cold Spring, NY passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020. She was born in the Bronx to the late Otto and Agnes Knauer. She graduated from John Jay Senior High School in Hopewell Junction and worked at 84 Diner in Fishkill for 34 years.
Lori was a compassionate person who loved nothing more than being around her family and close friends. She was at her absolute happiest being around her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her smile and willingness to go without to make those around her happy. Her heart was full, her positivity infectious, her patience a virtue.
She is survived by her son, John Place; daughter, Destiny Dellamura; son-in-law, AJ Dellamura; daughter-in-law, Danielle Place; 5 beautiful grandchildren: Gavin Place, Olivia Place, Jacob Dellamura, Kelsey Dellamura, and Tea Place; as well as her brother, George Knauer and his wife, Joanne.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, Billy and Bobby Knauer, and her granddaughter, Gabriella Dellamura.
She is extremely loved and will be missed immensely. Services will be private and at the convenience of family.
