Anthony A. Caputo, a local area resident since 1997 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was 61.
He was born in the Bronx on January 18, 1959 to the late Amerigo John and Caroline (Costanzo) Caputo. Anthony worked as a truck operator for many construction companies. He was a proud American and loved spending time with his family, he especially loved cheering on his children at their various sporting events. He also enjoyed playing cards, completing model cars, listening to John Lennon, but most of all, he loved being a grandfather.
On November 29, 1985, Anthony married the love of his life, Carmela Amendola in Yonkers. Carmela survives at home in Fishkill.
Additional survivors include his son, Joseph Pappagallo of Florida; his son, Anthony Caputo of Louisiana; his daughter, Deanna Caputo and her fiancé, Brandon Blackburn of Wappingers Falls; his granddaughter, Ayla; his brother, Vinny Caputo and his wife Aida; his brother, Ralphie Caputo and his wife Vivian; his brother, Johnny Caputo; his sister, Carolanne Aquino and her husband Johnny; his sister, Maryanne Martucci; his sister, Linda Ekbom and her husband Tommy; his sister, Regina Servedio and her husband Anthony; his sister, Florence Caputo; his sister, Lorraine Corrie and her husband Fred; his sister, Annette Mastrogianni and her husband Danny; his brother, Richie Caputo and his wife Angie; his sister, Tina Morreale and her husband Pete; his sister-in-law, Deborah DiMeglio and her husband Robert; as well as many nieces & nephews and other relatives & friends.
In addition to his parents, Anthony was also predeceased by his sister, Suzanne Rao; his sister-in-law, Genie Caputo; and his brothers-in-law, Ralph Martucci and Dominick Rao.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 20th, from 3pm-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, New York. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10am on Saturday, November 21st, at St. Mary Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, New York. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, New York.
