Wappingers Falls - Helen Hunter, 73, an area resident for 33 years, died on January 10, 2021 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital.
Born in White Plains on October 18, 1947, she was the daughter of Thomas Kauffman and the late Evelyn Buzzell Kauffman. Helen enjoyed crafting, cooking, traveling and gardening. She also enjoyed genealogy and researching her family ancestry.
On March 30, 1970 in Stamford, CT, Helen married Charles H. Hunter Jr. who survives at home. In addition to her husband and father, she is also survived by her daughters, Melissa Paddock and her husband John, and Heather Murphy and son-in-law Edward Murphy; her grandchildren, Kyra Paddock, Grace, EJ, Colin and Hailey Murphy; her siblings, Thomas Kauffman and his wife Cathy, and Barbara Kauffman; and many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at this time.
