Jacqueline Glennon, 74, a resident of Brewster, died on January 14, 2021 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in McKeesport, PA on October 22, 1946, Jackie was the daughter of the late Jack and Rose (Weinberg) Ward. She owned and operated South Street Toy Express in Warwick for many years until her retirement.
On October 2, 1971 in Garden City, Jackie married William Lawrence Glennon who predeceased her on March 12, 2012 after 41 years of marriage. She is survived by her children, John Glennon of Lynbrook, Thomas Glennon of Mahopac, Kellyann Ort and her husband Christopher of Brewster, and Michael Glennon and his wife Jennifer of Maryland; her grandchildren, Cyndi Glennon of Ellicott City, MD, Sabrina Glennon of York, PA, Jon-Tyler Glennon of Baldwin, Grace Glennon of Westminster, MD, Lilly Glennon of Westminster, MD, Liam Ort of Brewster, and Hunter Ort of Brewster; and her daughters-in-law, Deborah Glennon and Janice Glennon. In addition to her husband and parents, Jackie was also predeceased by her son, Nicholas Glennon; and her beloved granddaughter, Abigail Ort.
Jackie will forever be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who cared deeply for all members of her family. She loved ALL of her children dearly, and always wanted to make sure everyone was treated fairly. Jackie enjoyed making enough food to feed an army and loved options. More than anything, she was a proud grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren.
