Obituary for Robert Edward Dietrich

Robert Edward Dietrich, 80, “ Bob” a resident of North Carolina for 23 years and previously of Pleasant Valley, Garrison, and Yonkers, died on January 13, 2021.
Born on January 1, 1941 in Port Chester, Robert was the son of Edward and Viola (Williams) Dietrich. Robert married his high school sweetheart, Judy Struges, on July 2, 1960 at St. Peter’s Church in Yonkers, NY. They enjoyed 54 years of marriage until Judy predeceased him on September 6, 2014.
Robert was a Firefighter for the City of Yonkers until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the Marlboro Yacht Club and volunteer at RSVP in North Carolina. He was well known for all of his stories about the fire department and will be missed tremendously by his family and friends. He enjoyed antique cars , motorcycles and taking rides on his boat, but his biggest prides were his daughter , Beth, her children and great grandchildren. He had a very special bond with his great grandson Brendan.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Beth Gilmartin and her husband Timothy; his son, Robert Dietrich and his wife Jaspreet; his grandchildren, Lauren Barnard, Danielle Still and her husband Jeffrey, Robert and Jessica Dietrich; his great grandchildren, Brendan, Aubrey, Mason and Caiden; his sister in Law Carolee Fischer and husband Russell , his siblings, Barbara DiLiddo ,Sherry Rafael and husband Vinny,as well as many nieces, nephews and friends

He was predeceased by his brother Edward Dietrich
