Obituary for Carl Frederick Haas

OCALA, FL – Carl Frederick Haas, 87, formerly of Beacon, died on January 23, 2021 at The Lodge Rehabilitation Center in Ocala, FL.

Born in the Bronx on June 25, 1933, he was the son of Karl and Anna (Staab) Haas. Carl served our country in the US Army and was employed as an engineer with IBM in Poughkeepsie for 25 years until his retirement in 1987. He was a Ham Radio Operator and enjoyed stamp collecting.

On August 18, 1957 in the Bronx, Carl married Helen Kokiadis who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughters and their husbands, Dolores and Lou Guerette of Washingtonville, and Christine and Robert Morrison of Hopewell Junction; his grandchildren and their spouses, Stephanie and Bryan Guida, Samantha and Lee Dolson, Michael and Samantha Morrison, and Eric Guerette; his great-grandson, Dane Morrison; and his daughter-in-law, Amy Haas, and her children, Brittney and Leif Erickson, and Joseph Klein. He was predeceased by his son, Peter Carl Haas, in April 2020; and Jonathan Klein in May 2019.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be on Monday at 10am at the funeral home followed by interment in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
