Manuel Medina, 93, died on February 8, 2021 at Northern Dutchess Hospital. A resident of Fishkill for over 20 years, he previously lived in the Bronx.
Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on November 5, 1927, Manuel was the son of the late Manuel and Gregoria “Gloria” (Gonzalez) Medina. Manuel was employed as a foreman for the New York City Housing Authority in the Bronx until his retirement.
Manuel was a parishioner at St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. He was an avid fan of the New York Mets.
He is survived by his wife, Ana (Torres) Medina; his children, Carmen Morales, Norma Rodriguez, Gloria Cruz, Victor Medina, Jr., Linda Cortes, and Alida Carmona; his 8 grandchildren; and his 7 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Manuel was also predeceased by his sister, Melba Patino and his brother William Medina.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 am on Friday at St. Mary, Mother of the Church followed by entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
