Obituary for Julia Maria Carlo
HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Julia Maria Carlo, 57, an area resident since 1989, died on February 17, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She previously lived in New York City.
Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico on July 4, 1963, Julia was the daughter of the late Carmen Iris Flecha. On June 25, 1988 in Carmel, she married George A. Carlo who survives at home. Julia is also survived by her children, Anthony, Joseph, Dena Rose, and Michael; her brothers, Thomas Deacon and Orlando Botero; her loving Titi Elsie Corea and many more aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, Julia was also predeceased by her grandfather, Julio Mejia, who she lovingly took care of during the last 5 years of his life. More than anything else, she was proud of her children and loved getting to watch them grow up.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3 – 7 pm with a service at 6:30 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
