Obituary

HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Remo Corbi, 82, an area resident for the last 15 years, died peacefully surrounded by his family on March 23, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He previously lived in the Bronx.

Born in Ripi, Italy on October 6,1938, he was the son of the late Domenico and Anna (Lisi) Corbi. He grew up in Italy, where he proudly served in the Italian Army, before immigrating to the United States in 1966 to find the love of his life. He was employed as a proud union carpenter for over 30 years.

On October 28, 1967 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Mount Vernon, Remo married Adriana (Felice) Corbi. His loving wife of 53 years survives at home. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Patricia and Anthony Milohnic of Hopewell Junction, Lisa and Peter Parrella of Hopewell Junction, and Danny and Diana Corbi of Long Island; his grandchildren, Stephanie Milohnic (Anthony Simone), Melissa Milohnic (Aaron Kimmel), Peter Parrella, Brian, Andrew, and Daniel; his siblings, Adele Savo and Romolo Corbi and his wife Pierina; and several nieces and nephews.

An avid hunter, Remo was also a fan of the NY Mets, Jets, and Rangers. He enjoyed watching Italian soccer games. Most of all, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with all of them.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment at Rose Hills Memorial Park. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required. Since capacity may be limited, all attendees should be prepared for potential extended waiting periods.
