Obituary for Mary T. Fritch

FISHKILL - Mary T. Fritch, 92, died on March 25, 2021 at Wingate at Dutchess.

Born in Brooklyn on October 13, 1928, she was the daughter of Frank and Mildred (Hallahan) Spina. Mary was employed as a procurer for the NYC Department of Purchasing. A long-time resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, she has also lived in Palm Bay, Florida for many years. An avid crafter and seamstress, she was a member of the Home Bureau. Mary was dedicated to her family and providing a loving home for them, always finding ways to fund special things for her family. Her legacy lives on with the many things she created for her family. They will miss her sense of humor and her positive attitude.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Christopher, on Dec 4, 2014 She is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Mary and Ray Cardwell of Fredericksburg, VA, Laura and Mike Merritt of Wappingers Falls, Patricia and Mike Angeloni of Fishkill, Christopher and Christine Fritch of Gansevoort; her grandchildren, Kimberly Elkins, Justine and Tom Hill, Hope Angeloni, Michael Merritt, Carter and Jenna Fritch, and Jake Fritch; and her great-grandchildren, Wendy, Simon and Felicity Elkins, and Morgan Hill. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her brother, Joseph Spina; her sister, Patricia Baumann; her grandson, David Cardwell; and her grandson-in-law, Kevin Elkins.

Mary made an impression on everyone she met. She loved to poke fun and have a good time. Her family was truly blessed to have had her in their lives.

Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Fishkill Rural Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc.
