Fishkill- Marjorie McFarlin, a resident of Fishkill and previously Weymouth, MA, passed away on March 25, 2021. She was 85.
Marjorie was born in the City of Boston, MA on September 26, 1935, the daughter of Robert and Frances (Lee) Moran. She grew up in Jamaica Plain and went to Jamaica Plain High School where she met her future husband, Francis E. McFarlin. They were married on December 2, 1956. They lived in Weymouth, MA before moving to Fishkill, NY. They had four children. Marjorie and her husband were always very involved in scouting for many years. Marjorie was a very dedicated Cub Scout leader and teacher. She was involved in the Activities Association at John Jay High School, enjoyed cooking and gardening, and spent 11 years working for the Building Department.
Marjorie is survived by her sons and their wives, Stephen and Patricia McFarlin, Richard and Christine McFarlin, Michael and Donna McFarlin, and Christopher and Colleen McFarlin; her grandchildren, Mikhaela, Victoria, Jennifer, Lauren, Madison, Aubrie, Sydney, Brian, Laken, Joseph and Abby. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Francis, her parents, and sister Lois White.
Calling hours will be on Monday, March 29, from 4pm-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 10:30am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
