Obituary for Antonette DiPietro

HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Antonette DiPietro, 86, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1995, died on April 11, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She previously lived in Mount Vernon.

Born in Avellino, Italy on November 20, 1934, Antonette was the daughter of the late Rocco and Filomena (Caserta) Mariconda. On June 12, 1954 in Avellino, Italy, she married Antonio DiPietro who predeceased her in 2014.

Antonette liked gardening and cooking, especially her homemade pastas. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren at family get togethers.

Antonette is survived by her children and their spouses, Angelo and Anna DiPietro of Eastchester and Maria and Carlo Marinaro of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Luisa Oakley and her husband Tommy, Peter Marinaro and his wife Emilia, Anthony DiPietro and his wife Ashley, Anthony Marinaro and his wife Christine, and Rosanna Marinaro; her great-grandchildren, Eddie, Annamae, Daniel, Julianna, Victoria, Angelo, Micaela, Matthew, Delia, Giancarlo, Cecilia, and Evamarie; her brother, Joseph Mariconda and his wife Livia; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 am – 11:30 am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 12 pm at St. Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by entombment at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required.
