Obituary for Patrick M. Grogan
Hopewell Junction- Patrick M. Grogan, a longtime resident of Hopewell Junction, NY and previously of Putnam Valley, NY, passed away on April 15, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 71.
Patrick was born on March 29, 1950 in Syracuse, NY, the son of Alwin and Mary (Ryan) Grogan.
Patrick was a career Firefighter with the Lake Mohegan Fire Department, retiring in 1990 after 20 years of service.
During his retirement, Pat enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. On a sunny day, he could be found riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, always looking for a new lunch spot. He was an avid tinkerer and liked creating custom toys for his grandchildren. Pat was a life-long Yankee fan.
Pat is survived by his loving wife, Judy, to whom he was married for 40 years; his children, Glen and his wife Sharon, Brad and his fiancée Emma; grandchildren Wesley, Margaret, and Claire; his sisters Mary Anne Bonetti and her partner, Patrick Marallo, Susan and Jerry Smith; and brother Michael Grogan, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
At this time all services are private. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
