Obituary for Walter J. Piskorowski

Walter J. Piskorowski, a Poughkeepsie resident of 30 years, and previously of Mount Vernon, died on April 23, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was 69.

Walter was born in Mount Vernon on February 9, 1952 to the late Walter and Annie (Corrado) Piskorowski. Walter graduated from Mount Vernon High School. He dedicated 25 years to Time Warner before his retirement as a head mechanic. Walter was an avid bowler and participated in numerous leagues. He was also immensely proud of his lawn and worked hard to maintain its beauty.

On May 23, 1976, Walter married the love of his life, Diane McLaughlin at St. Ursula’s in Mount Vernon. She survives at home. In addition to his loving wife, Walter is survived by his daughter Jacquelyn Hoag and her husband, David; his daughter Bonnie Piattoni and her husband, Michael; his grandchildren, Emmalyn Rose, Joseph, Benjamin, Corrine, and David; his sister, Frances Piskorowski and her husband, Steve Carlson.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 28, from 2-6 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:45 am on Thursday, April 29, at St. Martin de Porres Church.
